Stalk options for VW Golf?

I've always wanted to install the Sony Stalk for my empeg. I have the tuner, so it was an easy option. Except in a VW Golf (1996 model - ie model before current).

The cowling around the stearing wheel would mean the Sony Stalk was miles away from the driving position.

Any Ideas?

i had the same problem. i put it between the handbreake and the seat in upright position, it worked fine with me. but my favourite suggest is the pioneer ir remote. good luck!!!

I too put it between the seat and the e-break. This meant it fell neatly to hand when I was driving, and I could hide the wire through the tunnel, and bring it out at the gear shift I really liked it, and now greatly miss it.

When I had one I never mounted it and just held it in my hand. The only problem was the wire broke and I was unable to resolder it to the tiny pcb in the remote.
