And I may have won the ugly dashboard contest, too.

OT, even for this forum, but here's the latest dashboard incarnation with Timewise rally computer installed. Ugly, but the mount worked out very well. With 5-6 screws, I can pull the entire thing out and pop in the "normal" WRX glovebox.

Somewhat related....

I was autocrossing this weekend. I didn't suck as much as I thought.

Damn! You're hard core! I love the remote display on the steering column!

You win!

Not *too* hard core. Everything unplugs and it can be a pretty normal-looking WRX in about 2 minutes (I leave nothing in the car overnight). The driver's display switches b/w speed and odo on the lower line and shows seconds/cents early or late on the upper line (or ("EEEE" or "LLLL" if you are *way* off or if the rally clock value isn't set).

Loren, let us know. A bunch of us poor TSD slackers worked as road marshals again at the real deal this past weekend. I need rollbar-grade money!!

I think Rob has the right idea. They have autocross pretty regularly over at an old airport in Bremerton. I should go mess up my tires!

No CB, no SW, no nodding dog - you've really got a way to go.
I'm at work on the motorhome this winter making the Empeg controllable by remote control from my bunk

No CB, no SW,

Well, this baby arrived last week, so I think we'll have the spectrum (spectra?) covered.

no nodding dog

Ummmm, that would be my navigator.

We are working on getting a bunk installed first. Pictures to follow!

Short summary:

Looks like they can now also mount it on the 9-3 (and later on more different cars using an adaptor ("damask" - probably some form of rubber bellow thingy, same word is used for the rubber thing covering CV joints)

Available as empty shell if you want to do your own interior.

Just read a bit more on the site (was in a rush at the time of my last post) and they've got it mounted on a couple of different pickups as well (Nissan KingCab, Toyota HiAce and some Chevrolet).

Those look only a bit less overloaded than a 900 or 9-3...
