A source of installation kits - 29/05/2001 21:11

I ran across this site while browsing a car mag.

Scoshe has quite a number of adaptor kits. For my Sebring JXI they have this.

Except you wouldn't need the CD pocket.

Maybe they could replace that with a cup holder?

That cd pocket looks like a real nice place to lose a credit card remote.

backwards fast brake hard is the only solution, or skinny fingers.

Yeah when I installed my empeg into my car I got one of those little CD pocket things. I find that when I speed up, or reverse break to hard I watch my credit card remote FLY out and land in the little crease by the console and seats, or on really fast take offs, into the back seat. I've even managed to peg my 5 yo sister in the middle back seat with the remote! OOPS!

I hadn't thought of using the slot specifically for the the remote, but a couple of slices of foam jammed into the cd slot should tame a wandering remote.

I usually just toss my remote into the front drink holder, along with my tons of change. Still not as perfect as the remote that came with my friends Pioneer 7200. That remote is sized just right to be held in on his center console. But his remote for me falls into the silly category since it does nothing beyond what the front buttons do in one push.

As far as having spare drink holders, I think I got the Homer Simpson designed car with as many as I have. Theres 1 in each of the front doors perfect for cans, then theres two in the center console. (One that I use all the time and have yet to find any drink that couldn't be stored there). Then theres 2 more in the back for passengers attached to the end of the center console.
