New home office docking station

New home office docking station - 28/03/2007 16:16

I recently repurposed a stereo receiver for office duty here. It's quite handy, as it has numerous audio inputs for use with the various empegs, computers, and other projects always on the go.

As such, my original docking station is no longer optimal -- it had a built-in amplifier, power supplies, empeg tuner, and used a factory sled -- with ethernet and dummy power plugs.

The new replacement for it is smaller, and black. Very black.

Install pr0n is here for general viewing.

Wow, I would have expected you to use one of your nice cherry wood docks.

(I'm still lovin' mine. )

We do have a couple of those (black walnut here, not cherry) elsewhere in the house. But for my office/lab, I need space for the PSU & tuner inside, with stalk, mic, and antenna connections available. So..

There is also a second set of blanks, cut out and waiting in the workshop, to make a clone of this one, for possible use in the home theatre setup.
