Off Line Emplode - 15/05/2000 05:30
It would be nice to be able to run emplode without the player atached to the computer. After all, the program could remember what was on the player very easily, and just run with the syncronise disabled. This means that I could fiddle with my collection wherever, and then just connect up to do a true sync.
Please dont tell me NO as other programs have this sort of sync feature.
Regards.

I'm afraid I do have to tell you NO, as emplode stores *nothing* on the PC, and we have no plans to change this. As it is now, you can move between PCs with no fear of database corruption.
If we implemented an offline sync, this would entail more hassle (checking to see if the player's database had changed since the database revision used for the emplode run, merging of new stats information, etc).
It may happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

is it true that empolde doesn't keep track of the songs on your local HD? just a list of songs from the player. If it did , it'd be coming up with a lot of errors as you move files around on your local HD.
