Ethernet Wishlist

Can the developer image include a couple things like "ifconfig", "route", etc., so that people can diagnose the current state of the world w/r/t to their ethernet configs?

...I think I read elsewhere that they couldn't really include too much else, as it was already getting big, but that they would still try and upload a tar image to the web page with additional tools in it.
