Turn off bouncing in the visualizations

Turn off bouncing in the visualizations - 04/09/2000 13:17

I like the visuals with the big fonts, I would like to be able to turn off the bouncing or pulsing that reponds to the music.

I would like this also. I like to see the big fonts but I am not alway interested in it moving to the music. That should be really easy to do too.

That was fast. How do you like that, Doug? Make a suggestion on the BBS and it's implemented in less than 24 hours.

I can't wait for a plug-in architecture for the visuals... i can only imagine how bad ass the new stuff is going to get..seeing as how they are amazing already. Just picture the 3d landscape fly-throughs!! hahah. *drool*

that would be cool, along with leaving visuals on and when the song changes briefly (1sec?) display info then back to visuals!

Have any of you seen the Pioneer with the goofy dolphin screensaver? It's just a little movie that plays on the lcd while you listen to music. In fact the WHOLE UI is full of these annoying little movies.

Now if someone where to write a visual of a bunch of little dolphins swimming to the music on Empeg... THATwould be funny.

HAHAH...!! that's exactly what i was thinking of when i wrote that post earlier. My younger brother has that Pioneer head unit... i was laughing my ass of when i first saw it. Dolphins and a flyover of stonehenge...hahah. He thought it was the coolest thing...until he saw the visuals on the Empeg...and he couldn't believe that you'd be able to change them!! He's stuck looking at swimming dolphins all the time... heheh.

Thanks. Is the "Display Track Info briefly at start of new Track" in 1.1 also?

Is the "Display Track Info briefly at start of new Track" in 1.1 also?

Although I think that qualifies as the #1 requested visual option, I haven't yet seen the Empeg guys confirm whether such a feature is even planned at all.

Display track info at the start of track ("Info->Transient") *is* in 1.1. When you ff/rewind the timecode slides up and counts, then slides off again when you've finished too.

Toby's been doing a lot with enveloping arbitrary visuals, we may make this squeeze/unsqueeze the current visual when showing the track info too.

Hugo,

That's GREAT to hear! Having used the empeg extensively the last few days (putting many unnecessary miles on my car), that would be my #1 cosmetic wish at this point. And I was thinking about the "squeeze the visual to the top 75% of the screen to allow the Line Track Info to display simultaneously" idea too.

Driving with the top down can sometimes make it hard to know what track is starting up, esp. on songs with quieter passages in the beginning of the song.

Thanks again!

Hugo, Toby, that just totally rocks. Way cool. Can't wait to see it in action.
