Disabling scrolling animation

Disabling scrolling animation - 04/09/2000 13:18

I would like a config to disable the animated scrolling through menus so that they operate faster.

I would love that too. I like the animation concept, but it slows down scrolling fast through playlists!

There was an interesting discussion on the Phillips Pronto BBS about scrolling menus. Most of the die-hards wanted to get rid of it, as it made navigating menus slower. The Phillips spokesman claimed it was added because their test group (mostly Joe Consumer types) were confused without it.

I'd like to vote for an Emplode toggle...

We added it because it looked groovy Because we actually use this product ourselves, we also made it scroll quite fast.

This sort of thing probably won't get addressed right away because we have some more far reaching plans for the UI in the slightly more distant future.
