Shuffle Indication - 20/03/2001 06:37

I have been suggesting these darn wishes way too much... it almost makes it look like I am unsatisfied with my Empeg! (nothing could be further from the truth)

Anyway - on my way into work today, I was listening to an album, and I suddenly realized that song A was followed by song C! I didn't know the player was in shuffle mode still.

I wonder how feasable it would be to have some sort of indicator on the display when you are in shuffle mode? (or is the answer 1.1? )

or is the answer 1.1?

Yes. In v1.1, the shuffle mode is indicated by a small icon (currently an 'S') on the track info and now and next screens.

Roger - not necessarily speaking for empeg

ALERT!

I have been suspecting for a long time, that Roger is really an automated email responder.

Every time a request pops up, this Roger robot automatically responds with:

1) That feature is available in V1.1
2) Funny, I just implemented that. Unfortunately it does not work with the current source tree - wait for the V1.1 release.
3) Can't V1.0x do that? Funny, I have been using that feature for ages. Perhaps it's only available in V1.1.

So where is V1.1, auto-Roger? :-)

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I've made appropriate arrangements with payroll - he sure was overpaid for a mail daemon!

Shhh. Can you hear the chanting? 1.1... 1.1... 1.1... It's getting louder...

2 weeks have come and gone. We're on week 3. Oh where or where could my little 1.1 be, or where or where could it be?

;-)

Re: Shuffle Indication - 24/03/2001 09:55

Greetings!

Another thing I am slightly curious about is that Tony (in another thread) mentioned that he was running displayserver on his 1.1 alpha. Now, I thought from one of Frank's postings (again, another thread) that displayserver 1.1 did not work and was being rewritten for RioCar1.1. I always assumed that Frank would be on the alpha list. Does this mean that there is an alpha displayserver 1.1++ around, and that it is being tested with alpha RioCar1.1? Just curious...

Another person eagerly looking forward to both items.

Now, I thought from one of Frank's postings (again, another thread) that displayserver 1.1 did not work and was being rewritten for RioCar1.1.

I was simply running the current publicly-available version of Displayserver under 1.1 alpha. Seemed to work fine for me. I'm aware that Frank is trying to work on an updated version, however he hasn't sent a copy of that version to any of the other alpha testers.
