After extensive testing:) I am definitely of the opinion that some songs need a certain visual - so what is the chance of an ID3 tag (or Wendy filter type flag) being available so you can predefine a visual for a particular track? Make it numeric and large enough to cope with hundreds of visuals and use the current visual for tracks without this tag.

So am I the only one who wants this? 34 views and no replies:( C'mon - have your display on Hula Hoops for some heavy Skunk Anansie, then over to Marquesas for a little bit of Al Di Meola and on to one of the Spectroscopes for some Joe Satriani. We all know certain visuals work better for certain types of music. Is this not a relatively easy change?

Sure, it sounds like an interesting idea, but there's other stuff we'd like to see implemented on a per-song basis first, such as selecting a specific EQ preset for a given song.

Also, others have suggested a random visual at each song switch, which I find more interesting than a spec'd visual per song.

wait till it get to 200. then you know!

I agree with tony I'm afraid. EQ presets per song/genre/source would be more urgent.

Hi.

Seconded (tripled(?) actually).
I would like EQ settings per song (or per playlist at least) really nice, a lot more than visuals per song (playlist). Best would be to have both though.

I reckon I probably agree with you guys for in car usage - the thing is, my Mk II is so much better than my home stereo setup that I have it installed in the living room, and switched on almost all the time. At home EQ is not such a sensitive issue, but guests do spend a lot of time entranced by the swirly lights:)
Ah well, I'll put my vote in for "lots of everything please:)" to the empeg chaps.
