Random playlist - 07/09/1999 15:28

How about a random function like many CD players have that would select and play random tracks? Maybe two versions - one that would select only from the playlist, the other that would look at the whole disk.

That's what the "suffle" function is all about. ;)
It either shuffles the playlist you're in, or in the "empeg-car" playlist.

So, you're saying the empeg already does what I want? I don't have mine yet (#8741) so I didn't know. Thanks, Raphael.

How do you tell it which playlist to shuffle? I mean within a smaller playlist, aren't you still in the Empeg-Car Playlist, too?

Shuffle mode is currently a bit strange (TM) :-)

Turn shuffle mode on or off _and then_ select the playlist you wish to play.

For playing purposes playlists contain everything directly or indirectly in the playlist (the "don't treat as part of parent" option which is coming soon notwithstanding). Therefore the empeg-car playlist contains everything since all other playlists are inside empeg-car.

BUG ALERT: Sometimes the shuffle mode indicator gets stuck in one state or the other. Note it is only the indicator which does this - the mode is being changed. A similar effect can be observed on the Information menu item. This affects all releases including beta6.

I may not be speaking on behalf of empeg above :-)
