Emplode Crashing while Deleting Album

Emplode Crashing while Deleting Album - 09/03/2003 18:58

In Emplode, when I select a particular album (in the left hand Album Tree list) and then hit 'del' and confirm the delete it always crashes.

XP presents a "Rio emplode has encountered a problem and needs to close....." window. XP's error signature is:
AppName: emplode.exe AppVer: 2.0.14.0 ModName: emplode.exe
ModVer: 2.0.14.0 Offset: 00054397

I'm running 2.0b13Dev and Hj320 and connected via ethernet.

If my memory serves me correctly (it often doesn't), this has happened before and all I need to do is delete the album from the right-hand pane in Emplode. I purposefully haven't just in case somebody listening wants more troubleshooting information, at the moment it is 100% repeatable.

Suggestions?

in case somebody listening wants more troubleshooting information

Run Dr Watson (drwtsn32.exe) and see if you've got any emplode application errors listed in it (I'm not sure if this works in XP).

If you have, can you send me ([email protected]) the relevant drwtsn32.log file? I'll try to find time to take a look at it.

Since it was suggested elsewhere to report 2.0 bugs over here in this forum, I just wanted to mention that this bug still appears to be present (for me at least).

I'm not bothered that it isn't fixed (especially since it's dead easy to workaround) but, out of curiosity, am I the only user to experience this?

This happened to me w. Beta 13.. havn't tested w. 2.00 Final. I was nailed by this so badly that I trained myself to only delete in the right plane. It seemed as if emplode freaked when a playlist was deleted AND selected in the left plane. Like it couldn't delete and refresh (maybe it doesn't know what to have selected after this?)

Happened to me on XP also.
