Year and Search don't get along

Year and Search don't get along - 23/10/2001 10:16

I just posted this one to the internal bug list, I'm putting it here to head off any duplication:

If you press search twice and get to "Year", then type in a year (say, 1984), then press Enter, it work.

However, subsequent presses on the Search button will stop at the year screen. You cannot get past the year screen any more.

A reboot clears it.

You can get past it actually, by deleting the year - eg the AM/- key on a kenwood remote.

Speaking of which, I really miss AM (actually, REW) key from Kenwood remote (used in its backspace capacity). I can hold skip back button on Rio remote, but then I rarely release it soon enough to erase just one character .

In 2.0, Cancel now acts as backspace for searches on the Rio remote. Is it the same for the Kenwood?

Previous is used when labelling tuner presets (and EQ presets?).
