Odd Warnings about Invalid Tags - 24/12/2001 22:34

v2.0b7, mk2

Every time I connect to my Empeg, any playlists I edited during the time I was running v2.0b3 generate a warning to the tune of "Invalid tag found, removing." Obviously a playlist doesn't have an ID3v2 tag. These are playlists which I changed metadata of (say, Source, Genre, etc) of the playlist itself. It happens each time I connect.

Hmm. Generate a log file and look at it, see if the log gives any more data on the subject.

Will do as soon as my fsck finishes! I've posted 5-10 posts waiting for it to finish!

Well this one seems to have been Overcome By Events. After my first sync of new tunes this disappeared.

Also noted that LAME with --nogap doesn't do anything for me. Details in that other nogap thread somewhere else around here...

I had the same error for my "Playlist" list when connecting for the first time with 2.0b7. When I looked at the properties all looked fine. After performing a sync there were no more complaints on subsequent loading.

I had this on a playlist as well. I had already noticed a problem with this playlist, jemplode had shown a bunch of tracks in the playlist that emplode 2.0b3 didn't "see". Jemplode also complained about 308 errors in the metadata.

Emplode 2.0b7 complained about invalid entries in the playlist and fixed them for me.
