upgclient doesn't tell when to apply power - 08/02/2002 13:07

The release notes say:

"When instructed to do so by the upgrade program re-apply power to your player by switching it on at the wall or connecting the IEC cable and brick power supply."

but upgclient just says
 Finding unit                                                           [  2%]


That's enough for me, but it could confuse a newbie.

Full copy of terminal after install is attached.

Mine did say "apply power to player now"....

Mine told me when to apply power too. As per previous installs.

I assume you mean the Linux command line "upgclient" tool. Yup, same here, it just says "Finding unit..". But that's enough for most Linux folks to figure it out.

Yes. Does the Windows upgrader have the same name, then? That would cause confusion.
