This has always been one of those concepts I can't quite grasp. I can drive for 200 or so miles in about any direction and not hit my state border.

Well, I was planning on driving up from Zürich for this meeting. It's about 800 miles and I'd be passing through a large chunk of Germany before I'd get to Holland.

Luckily a prior engagement has stopped me spending the whole of the Saturday driving up and the whole of the Sunday returning!

Can't we have something more in the middle of Europe? Funnily enough (coincidences do abound when they're conveniant, don't they) Zürich is pretty central .

Nick.

Whoops. That's 800Km, not 800 miles.

Nick.

(Would have edited it, but by the time I realised, it wouldn't let me)

Quality over quantity is indeed a European trait.

Why have one over the other when you can have both equally? :-) Miles upon miles of almost untouched scenic mountains. Then again, flatland Kansas is right next to Colorado, proving miles and miles of, well, flatland.

Sunday October 1st - and empeg will be there (me + Roger + car at least).

I believe Rob intended to post an official announcement soon, and I'll forward that to all of our central European clients.
