I tried some simple places (Ebay, Crutchfield), and they don't have these remotes. Does anyone know of a source for the remote? New or used (in good condition) is fine, just looking to get 2 of em.

Just curious, why can't you use an RM4XS (which is in-stock at Crutchfields)? I'm ignorant, what is the difference between the two? The SB page claims either work with the tuner module:

"In addition, the Rio Car Tuner provides an interface for a SonyŽ RM2XS or RM4XS wired remote control"

Sony has the RM-X2S at this site for $43 - http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/cgi-bin/service/showitems.cgi?item=147306731

Note that the SB web site's description of the tuner module has the names wrong: RM2XS or RM4XS instead of the correct RMX2S or RMX4S.

The difference is that the newer one has a higher number ... that's it. I got the RM4XS and it works like a charm.

hmm, I'd swear I replied to this last night. I was able to determine that the X4S is the correct one and that the X2S is no longer made.

Found it for $29.96 at SoundDomain, plus $4.95 Shipping.

Crutchfied has it at $34.95 + $4.95 S&H.

I ordered two from Sound Domain because they were $5 cheaper than Crutchfields and listed as "Available". Two days later (Friday) they still hadn't shipped so I called them up and was told they would receive more stock on Wednesday next week. So I canceled my order, ordered them from Crutchfields and they shipped that day.
