Why does my empeg take so long to boot up? It pauses at "creating database" for like 10 secs before booting up. It all started when i upgraded to 8a. Plus when i boot up, and go to like info it read .79 as the version. Whats up with that. Do i have some bug, or is just slower because i have a lot of memory? I have a 10gb drive with about half of it being used. I dread to think how long it will take when more songs are added.

I had this once...
I think it was due to a failed sync, (I might have pulled the plug of something, I can't remember) such that the database was not rebuilt properly.
When it reboots, it tries to rebuild the playlist, however the partitions were mounted read only, so it couldn't save the completed playlist.
That's from memory of the serial port debug, but it was a while ago, so I can't remember fully.. =)
A resync fixed it though.. That part I'm sure of... =)
