Run Empeg while hooked to PC

I was just wondering why one cannot play the empeg while hooked up to the computer

My Empeg regularly sits there playing whilst connected to a PC via serial and USB. It does stop playing while tunes are uploading, but Hugo or Mike has already explained that there is too much interrupt load during uploading so the player is intentionally disable until the upload is finished.

Apart from the player stopping when syncronising (as mentioned by Hugo somewhere) it will stop if you have the USB connected with the computer off.
(It's a bug mentioned in the release note somewhere).
