Ogg Vorbis

There's a not-so-cryptic post from Hugo in response to an Ogg Vorbis comment on Slashdot (under the interview with SonicBlue's CEO story). Just thought I'd pass it along...

The newest WMA codec WMA9 is by far the best audio compression codec in the world...

I really think that is subject to opinion. But then, I'm no genius.

Best quality? Not really
Best Support? I don't think so
Most widely used? Unlikely

Any other ideas what he means by best?

Hugo's post is the reply right under that first post. Just wanna clear that up.

I sent some suggestions to Customer Services as a result of that email.

I didn't have that impression. It was obvious that Hugo's was the reply. I was just pointing out that I disagree with someone's opinion that WMA is the best.
