Can anybody confirm if the problems that occured when using lame 2.93 with the --alt-preset (mentioned here) have been ironed out now ? Or should I still stick to 2.91 or 2.92 until 2.94 is released ?

Thanks!

The versin that is being recommended by the developers of Lame is 3.91.2. It may not be quite as fast and the files may be a bit bigger, but the creator of Lame (I forget his name but he should have a monolith dedicated to him) recommends it if quality is your goal.

2.91? 2.92? 2.93? 2.93.1? 3.91.2? Considering this is a thread about Lame versions, it's a bit poor that nobody has yet mentioned any Lame version which actually exists...
