What's the deal with all the empegs coming up for sale? I just
bought one and am thinking about buying another. Are the MK2's
that close to shipping? Maybe I should hold off for a while,
but I doubt my number(14xxx)will be up anytime soon.

Just a few hours ago, Rob mentioned in a reply to another post in the Technical forum, that the Mark 2 would begin shipping on June 9.

for the complete post. (Sorry -- I'm an illiterate when it comes to HTML stuff, so I can't do that neat "here" trick like Tony does... ;-)

It's easy, Doug. You just use an HTML "a href=" tag. HTML is easy, you just surround the links with the the start and stop commands enclosed in angle brackets. The start command is the same as the stop command, except that the start command usually contains a parameter and the stop command is preceded by a forward slash. It's all very similar to the square-bracket markup tags that you already know how to use on this BBS.

If you type this into the message:
<a href="http://www.empeg.com">Here is the Empeg home page</a>.

Then it translates into this on the screen once you've saved the message:
Here is the Empeg home page.

See? You learn something new every day. Now, your homework assignment, Doug, is to locate another post on this BBS that needs a URL link in its reply, and to apply this new knowledge as practice. There will be a pop quiz on Friday.
