Home networked MP3 play - 01/06/2000 22:58
On your new web site (a great improvement BTW ;-) you mention an OEM project for a home networked mp3 player. I realise that you are probably not able to say much, but this is the sort of product I really want. To the point of hashing together my own system using FileMaker Pro and SoundJam - it works but is not the most elegant solution.
Are you able to at least give a rough idea of when we might be able to buy such a gem? Along with anything else you can reveal. Anyone know of any other similar systems?
Many thanks
Phil

I know that one or two major manufacturers have already announced products of this nature, which are due to hit the market this summer.
You won't have long to wait :-)

I've been putting a little something together myself. I can't remember what networking software was suggested to me, but if you follow the link to 3dss on the page linked below, there was a suggestion on that board. I will be connecting this to my own network.

Grrr - NDA's - don't you just love 'em
It's not nearly as cool to get a box like that with Sony or Pioneer on the front. Any plans to offer your own box in this vein?

No plans at the moment, no, but thanks for the compliment :-)
