Dumb Tuner Question

I hardly ever use the radio on my Empeg. However, recently I was trying to tune into different stations and it wouldn't go to all the different stations. It would only go to the presets. I'm sure there is some little thing I'm forgeting or is it something more wrong with it?

The front panel left and right buttons switch presets. Hold it down to scan. You have to use the remote to go one frequency step at a time.

i did the holding down to scan thing and it wouldn't work....it would do nothing.

This is a known problem with 2.0 final, it has been discussed here in the Bug Reports area.

You can still directly input a frequency using the numbers, then store them as presets.

Anyone know of a way to get scan working again? Perhaps with the Kenwood remote (and via Kenwood IR commands for those without Kenwood remotes)?

I just don't know why it took this long for anyone to think about trying a KW remote for the scan function.. I mean, we tried front panel and Rio remote, but.. oh well. Maybe I didn't think of it cuz my Kenwood remote was buried under tons of stuff on the Empeg spare parts shelf..

I messed with it a bit last night. Is that supposed to work for the front panel, too, or just for the Rio remote?

Well, obviously just the Rio Remote.

But substitute "Left" for "PrevTrack" and "Right" for "NextTrack" to do the same thing to the front panel buttons!

Perhaps the v3.00Alpha3 firmware fixes it.. I cannot test it until I return to Canada, but maybe someone else from the Amersfoort meet can comment further .. ?

I think: "sort of" is nearer the truth, it's still a bit quirky to use, I've found it hit and miss, but I haven't had time to properly test it out.
