New Face and Handle

Well I removed the face and handle from my Empeg player and dropped them off at the machine shop he will have a proto-type by friday I'll have them in 3 styles unfinished, electro-polished and powder coated black or anoidezed

P.S. if you think you might want one post here. so I can judge what to order



Don't have a price yet but hopfully there be around the same price as 303's

Are you reproducing the originals in metal or will it be a new design? How about the buttons and knobs?

it is a slighty mod'ed oringinat so you can use the stock buttons and the leg kits. I can't copy 303's with out his consent and I didn't get a reply to my last PM about that, also I don't have one to use as a template.

I am making a Pretty much stock one with a matching handle in 3 finished

1. Unfinished
2. Electo-plated (very shinny mirrior like)
3. Black (powder coat or anidoized which ever is cheaper)

I'll have a proto-type on friday I'll photo it and see what you think, I know the machine shop doing it and they do nice work.

I would like to offer a 303 style but with out something to use as a template, a source for buttons and knobs and promission from 303 it most likely won't happen.

Sounds good. Consider me interested in a electro plated one I would think dependent on the price.

I was going to buy a 303 one but couldn't quite justify the expense. 150 Euro is a fair bit of cash.

Well I am going to try and bring them in as cheaply as possible and I am including a new handle hopefully that will make up for the cost.

Please include me for 1 electropolished. Any chance that the machine shop can cut wax fascias?

I know you said the machine shop didn't want to do brushed aluminum without a minimum quantity of 25. Are they dead set on that figure, or could they perhaps lower it to 10 or so if we paid a premium over the other three styles?

Going to answer a few questions in this post so bare with me.


Proto-type has been delayed the machinest is out sick and won't be able to start on the handle till tuesday.
Yes it will come with a matching handle the handle will be 3 pieces to save on cost and will be drilled and
tapped to form a handle.

Answer Wax ???? Ok I am confused why you would want one in wax? it would melt in a hot car and make a mess

Answer Currently the machine shop is back peddeling on the amount I have to order, I told him 25 or so he heard
what he wanted and is he is trying to get my to order 50 at a time thats a bit more cash then I have to spare,
if he is dead set on that number I would try and except pre-orders to off set the amount of cash I have to
output. As for brushed style its the plater that would be doing that and I am still waiting to here back from them.

Yes, to do a lost wax cast after modifying the wax fascia. I have a camera case finish dash and wanted to add texture to the wax.

On a different Note does anyone have a sent of Smoke Buttons ? Even rejects would work I want to get some photos of the black face with black buttons.
