Harmonised Code?

All,

I'm possibly going to sell my unit to someone in the US - can I still use the harmonised code stuff, that empeg have to ship my unit to there?

Will it help, or will they need to pay some import duty, etc?

I sold my Mk1 to the states. Just as easy as getting it to somebody across town. Only the shipping was a bit more expensive: I paid some US$ 40 (incl insurance).

Yes, you should include at least an import declaration with the harmonised code stuff; a declaration that the thing meets FCC radiance limits; and possibly a third doc. I bet these are the same docs as sent with a Mk2. Maybe someone in the states can sent you a scan of their docs that you can use as a base.

With these docs, the guy I sent it to received it without charges.

BTW: I used TNT for shipping. They were about half the price of DHL.
