jEmplode and "Checking Media" - 29/09/2004 14:50

Does anyone know how to turn off "Checking Media" in jEmplode (i'm using ver 69 now). It does a "Checking Media" before jEmplode starts up and also after i hit the synch button.

The new jEmplodes are fantastic for creating playlists on the fly. Finally, mschrag has given the empeg community what should have been all along.

It should be a non-forced check media, which should basically give the Empeg the option of saying "nevermind." Are you saying it's doing a full fsck both before AND after your sync?

This is not a Jemplode option, it's something that happens on the player side. You use Hijack to disable it. More information here.

I did some checking and found the culprit to be an incorrect jumper size creating all the problems.(thanks lopan for the parts list)

MSCHRAG: jEmplode is a wonderful product!

TONY: Thanks for the quick answers you give and the wonderful, comprehensive FAQ you have put together.

Even disabled in hijack, jemplode is happily trying to check media. And telnetted into the player I see it unmounts the first drive, and then fsck doesn't start.

Sadly, the device is clean, I fscked it by hand when I swapped the drives into my spare player a bit ago.
