Warranty Return Invoice Charge..??

Warranty Return Invoice Charge..?? - 08/11/2000 08:20

I'm not sure if maybe I'm misunderstanding this, but I'm returning my empeg to be repaired, and there is a 100 dollar fee on this invoice they faxed me, with the only information regarding it under 'value for customs': 100 bucks. Does this mean I'm supposed to cover the shipping and customs charges? Maybe this is normal practice elsewhere, but because of the distance or whatever, maybe it just seems... a bit much. I'm not quite sure what it means.. has anyone in the US returned their player? Would you be willing to explain this to me?

The invoice states "value for customs use only, no payment required". Anything that ships internationally MUST have a customs value, and duty is charged based on that value. In the case of warranty returns and upgrades, we pick up the customs charge both ways.

$100 is the arbitrary value that we have allocated to a second hand car player.

Rob,
I suppose you don't have any second hand MKII's for sale?

Are you kidding? They slap fresh warranty stickers on their refurbs and stick 'em back into the main inventory.
