Does anyone have any further info on the LCD display shown on the Geek site photos???
Could be a good Mod for heat saving on the unit???

Could be a good Mod for heat saving on the unit?It could be a good mod for creating a low-cost home network MP3 player that runs off of HPNA wiring and could be easily manufactured and resold by third parties like Dell.

Quite.
That particular screen is far too slow for the car player - the visuals would suffer terribly. For the automotive application we think we made a good choice with VFD - it could be done with LCD but we'd have to send a lot on a very good quality custom panel to get the speed, low persistancy and contrast.
