If all else fails-- write some code for a proxy server that monitors CBBD looks up. Setup your Rio to use that proxy. If it sees one you don't want it to lookup have the proxy return "No album data" otherwise send the request through to the real CDDB. It may be going a bit far to solve the problem but it would work.

Interesting idea. I'd have to really dig into the CDDB protocols to solve that problem though.

I'm hoping someone at the upcoming Empeg Meet knows the answer to this... those attending the meet, please ask around for me! Wish I could come!
