After a painful session of repeatedly failed syncs (still on going), I've remembered that I really need to sort out an mp3tofid and rsync setup

in 2003 i did some work which at the time surprised people in my professional community. i realized last week that i wanted to use it to solve the sync problem (for me at least) forever.
since there's a partially linked player binary, i can.
