i am just wondering why the colors on my unit seems so different then pics of others.

it is a nice deep blue, while mine is teal. Just wondering.

Actually the pics I took were of a player from the very first batch and the screens were not finalized yet. Everyone got the dark blue and were then shipped the new color of their choice.

I have a VW also, but I found that the red display looks great with the rest of the dash. matching the rest of the dash keeps it less distracting than the blue, so my eye's stay focused on the road/instruments.

umm.. if it's anything like the jetta, the tach, and the speedometer are blue, (slightly purple), and the rest of the dash/interior lighting is red.

no, you were totally right, i just got my ar face, it is red, it matches MUCH better
