Custom Fascia's!

Custom Fascia's! - 19/06/2001 04:36

Ok gang, let's see how this goes over.
I'm going to start offering custom fascia's.

Right now they are only for the Mark 1's because I'm not sure if I can do this for the Mark II's yet (see below).
They will go for the same price as the tint lenses, $20 plus shipping.
If you use the tint lens in addition to the custom fascia which are 1/8 inch, they'll work great.
If you wish to use it over the original colored lens I have 1/16 inch material available for most of the materials I will offer.

I have made three out of different materials to show you what they look like. Brushed Aluminum, Brushed Gold and Walnut. They are attached to this and the next two posts.

I will also work out some other designs later and pricing if you wish to have a ''custom'' custom faceplate made.

I am going to try and set up a web page later tonight to list the different materials I'll have available (which is allot). If anyone out there can help with this I'd appreciate it (hint, hint).

Also, I'm still looking for a Mark II fascia, so if anyone out there has an extra one we can work something out ;)

Looks rude, i like. Are they all safe / non-dodgy etc?

OK, if I type the file name in by hand and replace the blank with %20 then I can look at the pretty pictures . Looks good. The Mk1 fascia will actually fit on a Mk2 if you drill a hole for the knob and swap the plastic buttons for Mk1 ones (they fit, and the empeg guys have a few left over. I believe you can also buy them from places like Farnell) there is a discussion about customising displays here. I would be interested in a custom front for my Mk2 as I much prefer the Mk1 blue.

Would there be any chance of you banging up a Mk1 style handle for the Mk2 if someone sent you a handle? This is the only thing that would look a bit strange with a custom front.

If you can make an anodized blue one, I'll snap it up in a heartbeat! Would look great with my blue tinted mk1, I think!

True, but replacing the handle is rather tricky, is it not? Taking it apart is apparently easier than fitting a new one, as I can remember, you've done it yourself! Maybe you should come up with some sort of install guide for this...

I am not quite ready to start selling them yet for a couple of reasons.
1. I just had a major operating system crash and lost damn near everything including my existing customers addresses.
and 2. I want to get a web page up showing all the different materials that you could have one made out of.

I will post when I am ready.

I'm not sure if everyone realizes this but the fascia' are made out of a plastic. I work for a sign company and this is the material we use to make signs out of.

I don't have an anodized blue but if you were to get a brushed silver or brushed aluminum one the make Candy Blue spary paint that is a deeo blue AND transparent when applied you could paint the fascia and it would look very similar to anodized.
