tuner module - 19/07/2001 02:05

Does the tuner mudule provide support for the european RDS system?
Thanks for your help!

Re: tuner module - 19/07/2001 02:50

It does, although v1.03 doesn't have anything except station name and radiotext.

v1.1 will add AF list support (re-tuning to best station as you drive) and EON features such a traffic announce.

As we are talking about tuner and V1.1 and it's going to the end of July...
How many days will we have to wait for the tuner and for 1.1?
And what's about the VR? Noone has answered my (and other's) questions to a release date of VR.
Don't wanna be annoying but...

Errmm... I've just seen on the international store that stock is being awaited in August.. But what about 1.1 and VR?
Hey - It's been about a year now since the first Mk2 was shipped

Re: tuner module - 19/07/2001 04:56

The tuner is coming soon, hopefully very soon. I've heard that the factory is making them now, but I'm not going to make any rash promises until a huge box of them arrive here ;)

Getting v1.1 out is the next thing on our list after the current project (which is almost finished). v1.1 is already very usable, as the alpha team are aware, so it's not like we're starting from scratch here.

VR is still on the list, I'm currently looking at a new package which seems quite promising - there's the slight matter of negotiations over licensing, which havn't happened yet though.

Yeah, but what a bug list!

The first tuner rolled off the production line while I was here this week. They should hit the store (and upgrade clients) pretty soon.

Actually we _have_ discussed both of those things quite recently here. Go search - what was said then is still true.

Yeeeeeeehaaaa!

You will post an announcement when they are available at the online shop, won't you? Or send out a newsletter, just as back in the old days....

Hmmm. July is almost over. It's getting very hard to remain patient for it!

Re: tuner module - 30/07/2001 03:17

I doubt many people are patient at this stage.

They should be out of the factory by now - I'll check later today, when America wakes up.

I'll check later today, when America wakes up.

It's Monday. Most Americans don't wake up until tomorrow. By 7:30am today, I had three coworkers already ask me to wake them up if they fall asleep at their desk...

Re: tuner module - 30/07/2001 07:45

this is why on a monday morning, I have a nice hot, strong cup of green tea at my desk :)

Re: tuner module - 30/07/2001 09:19

Greetings!

To be honest, green tea does not have that much caffiene in it (30mg), relative to oolong (50mg), black tea (100mg) or coffee (180mg). All dosages are based on a 5 ounce cup...

Re: tuner module - 30/07/2001 14:00

yep, i know. I've been trying to keep my caffine intakes to a minimimum lately, it got to the point where I would have caffine headaches in the morning, and would get worse if i didn't have a coke for breakfast. spent a weekend with advil and went cold turkey.. feeling much better now. :)

These kind of obtuseitiys. That's what keeps this forum sane.

ps. My spell checker was actually able to catch and correct obtuseities. I'd have bet an Oreo it wouldn't have.

Re: tuner module - 01/08/2001 04:03

Sorry about that. I was in a wierd mood, and I was just reading a book about caffeine when the post came up. So, I pulled out my tea collection and started reading labels...

Re: tuner module - 04/08/2001 02:44

Not much - as rob said, they're coming off the production line. There's just the matter of getting them into the e-store and into the empeg office for sending out to the mk1->mk2 upgraders who were promised a free tuner.
