It's unlikely that the Empeg folks were involved with this. The ReplayTV division is a different group of people, as I understand the organization.

I don't have any official information on this, it's just my guess based on what I know.

and I just got my tivo hacked to use the serial port on my linux box instead of downloading over the phone line.. now I have to hawk off the unit so i can buy a realplay box.. ;) I love my tivo, and hope the competition between the PVR companies stays hot.

No monthly fee, broadband access &
displays digital photos and skips commercials automatically????

I will Buy this unit over anything else just simply for these reasons!!! Where do I order!?!?!?!
