Horizontal lines in display

I have a Mark2a and notice that there are 4 or 5 horizontal lines that look like dim pixels, but in fact they are some sort of thin lines that kind of distract me from the screen. I have been using the Mark1 since i got it a couple years back, and don't have these lines in the display. Is that normal for the Mark2a? What are they there for?

Could it be the same thing they are talking about here?

We just had a thread about this yesterday, I believe. They're heating elements for the VFD and are normal, but can apparently be more easily seen with the red lens than others.
