empeg clicking sounds + long bootup

I have recently purchased a new riocar 20GB model. Been using is flawlessy for a month or so but recently it started acting funny. When it was powered on it was turned vertically and it froze. A reboot only showed that it now takes 5 minute to load tags / build music database (along with a clicking sound). If i wait the 5 minutes to boot it will play all music and functions fine. Anyone ever seen this?

Yep - I'd have to agree with andy. While it still lives, make sure your mp3 collection on your PC matches the one on your empeg as closely as possible. It makes life much easier when rebuilding
