Another lil problem - 11/03/2002 23:49
I don't remember reading about this in the FAQ
I've had my rio on AC power for a little while and I've noticed it freezing every once in a while... the screen stops as does the music and it sits there... then it starts up again.
Also, it's randomly rebooting sometimes....
And the other day when I had it off, it kept coming back on for no reason...
Any ideas?

Sounds like the "stuck jiffies" (do a search on the BBS...) problem - freezes should last just short of 20 minutes...
What software version are you using (1.02, 1.03, 2.0b3, 2.0b7, 2.0b11; if 2.0bX - with or without Hijack)?

it's the latest beta with the latest hijack, though it was doing this w/out hijack saturday
I have it just sitting on the desk in standby and it is just randomly rebooting itself for no reason right now
every few minutes.

Downgrade to 1.03 and if the problem still exists contact support.

Me too!
I just got my Mk2a a few weeks ago. It has been sitting on top of my stereo for the last two weeks playing in shuffle mode with about 3000 songs loaded in. It's running 2b11. I have noticed four times or so where it has paused while playing. If I leave it alone, it comes back 10-20 minutes later.
It's not too big of a deal for me at this point, and I can deal with it if it is caused by the beta version (assuming it will be fixed at some point).
Anyone else experience this?

Mine just pauses for a few seconds... sometimes it's just the visual that pauses, but other times it's both visual and audio.
