Help! Playlist shows NOTHING after Windows crash! - 17/04/2002 15:59

I was uploading a 120min MP3 when Windoze crashed. Rebooted and now I get this error message: 0xc0041016. I've unplugged the Empeg several times and also rebooted Windoze several times but everytime I try and sync I get the same message.

I've got v2.0b11 no Hijack. I've got to go to work now but in about 5 hours I'll get back to anyone that leaves advice.

Thanks,

Curly

Install a developer image, then follow the instructions in the FAQ.

Once you've done this, delete the tags, playlists and database files from /empeg/var.

If you need a little more help with this, just ask in this thread -- someone'll help.

Ok I'll ask for help then. Help! hehe. Though I'm assuming that you read the newer thread Roger? I might have a corrupt partition.

I have the developer image loaded. At the command prompt, what command do I type in to delete the playlists, tags, and database files in /empeg/var? Would it be: "delete /empeg/var/playlists"
"delete /empeg/var/tags"
and "delete /empeg/var/database"?

That would be 'rm', not 'delete', but otherwise correct.

"rm: cannot remove `/empeg/var/playlists': No such file or directory"

Fair enough. No need to remove it if it's not there .
