FS 24G Mk2 BLUE - 26/02/2004 11:57

I have pruched a MK2a and a MK2 with the size of the files I have I am going to switch and use the MK2A for my main unit.

Drat must sell old toys to buy new toys (I hate this job, it doesn't pay enough to keep me in toys)

Building a New computer so I guess I really don't need a spare Empeg right now,

MK2 sled, remote, cd, box, serial and ubs cable etc...NO Bag
2 12G drives,
(Note the wiring hardness was missing when I got it to I just put a GMC plug on the wires.

Works fine

Also have a spare RIO branded Remote I might part with for the right price.

Make offers on both, I'll listen.

Update I have had a few questions so I’ll try to explain what is going on.

I purchased this unit here for 475 as a 12G
When I received it, it was missing the serial cable and 9pin to 25Pin adapter (no big deal) it was also missing the back half of the wiring harnesses.

(The wires come off the back of the sled and after about 6 inches there is a two part black Molex style connector, I have the part that is wired to the sled but I was missing the part that wires to the car. Not a big issue again and hardly worth crying over I just cut off the connector (leaving enough wire to reattach it if I needed to) and spliced on a plug for a factory wiring harness for my car.

Everyone following me so far?

I dropped 2 40 Gig Drives in it and have been using it since. No problems.

I am switching to Flacc once its out of Alpha so I posted about MK vs. MK2 after reading the follow ups I decided to purchase a MK2A (also from here)

The Unit I am selling is the one I purchased here as a 12G I am adding a Second 12G and selling it, with a serial cable for 450 and I’ll split the shipping cost with you, (within reason if you want it sent overnight to a village in north Siberia I won’t pay for that)

I also purchased a Rio branded remote for 50 bucks plus shipping off Ebay I throw that in for 40 bucks more.

First person with money gets it

Paypal is fine with me,

P.S. Judging from the sled I got I was the first person to install this empeg, there where no tabs bent down, I have had the unit for a month or so.

One thing you might want to consider is switching the 2 sleds. It seems kinda pointless to uninstall the one that you customised and is working, only to have to install the other. It'd save you effort and allow the buyer to have a stock sled, ie win-win.

Re: FS 24G Mk2 BLUE - 27/02/2004 14:52

Must have been a brain fart on my part I never though of that,
would mean a rio sled on a empeg but I guess I could live with that.

Re: FS 24G Mk2 BLUE - 29/02/2004 16:15

I'd pay about 30 for the remote shipped. 50 dollars for a remote seems absurd to me. seems like about 2 dollars for the remote and 48 for the riocar logo.

50 dollars for a remote seems absurd to me

Right, because there are so many alternative remotes available that operate seamlessly and access all of the empeg's function, I'd definitely buy one of those if I needed a remote.

If someone offered me $50 for my empeg/rio remote, I'd laugh and say "thanks, but no thanks."

Re: FS 24G Mk2 BLUE - 29/02/2004 20:17

Maybe, but in this case that riocar logo is probably worth $48 to many people. The remote is unique and designed specifically for these units. There are no equivalent remotes without that logo.

I decided to switch the sleds so this will come with a full sled with no wiring issues.
