MK2 for sale (from Ireland)

MK2 for sale (from Ireland) - 02/03/2006 10:05

Hi there,
After long thoughts, I've decided that it's time to part company with my EMPEG MK2 (Rio branded, so its'a 2a). The unit is working 100% (serial number at the bottom of this post) and I didn't use it in the car since I changed it in January last year. The empeg has since been used as a makeshift MP3 jukebox at home, and it's ready to rock the road again. Plug it, and play it, is that simple.
The 30GB Hard Drive is still working but you can change the drive with a newer one. Sled and remote are included, the fascia is the original one (blue) and, again, the unit is working perfectly and I'm parting company with the empeg cause I changed my car and I don't drive that much anymore, so the Kenwood head unit with on-cd MP3 support is enough for me now. The unit is located in Ireland (so is the owner, LOL) and it's up for grabs. The conditions of it, again, are perfect, if you're in Dublin you could try the thing at my place (hooked up to my Yamaha 5.1 amp). Reasonable bids accepted. Postage and packing are at the expense of the buyer, and yes I accept paypal.

Cheers
Tony

PM sent (sorry for the delay, I've been very busy lately).

The unit is still available and working beautifully.

Off-topic note: I used the empeg as a home entertainment system until some time ago when I replaced it with a 200-Gb XBOX Media Centre. Beautiful machine but doesn't even come close to the Empeg in terms of usability. But it does play avi's and all, which is a definite plus for an home theater. PM with confidence, the unit is perfectly working and has been treated with utmost care by a true empeg fan

Cheers

I've no need of another Empeg, but anyone in the UK (Or for that matter anybody coming to the meet in September, who can wait that long), who wants it fetched from Dublin, I'm there in mid-June.

You'd be aswell to sell that on ebay. Not much demand for them here in Ireland... I'll prob be looking to sell my 30GB fairly soon too

Sorry, I was absent from the boards for a few months due to very very urgent business. The EMPEG is still sitting at home all alone

Yeah, we were making fun of that listing. Keep watching. There will probably be one at a more reasonable price on eBay before too long if you don't find someone you can buy from directly.

Re: MK2 for sale (from Ireland) - 07/02/2007 09:01

Hello sWord,

It appears that you are in Australia, postage costs all the way to Oz will be prohibitive considering the value of the empeg itself. Send me an e-mail if you still want it but please consider that postage will be painfully expensive.

Cheers

I doubt the AC adapter is going to be of any use in Oz so omitting that from the package will help keep the weight down.

Re: MK2 for sale (from Ireland) - 09/02/2007 12:32

Mmm.. airmail to Oz from Canada should be less than AU$100 for an empeg sized package. How much is it from the USA??
