FS: Canon EF 24-70mm-L lens

I've had this lens for a few years now, and only rarely use it. Which is unfortunate, since the photos it produces far exceed those from most of the other lenses I have here.

But rather than have it continue to take up space here, I'm going to try and sell it.

Canon EF 24-70L f2.8 constant aperature, top-of-the-line pro zoom lens -- optically, this is the best zoom lens that Canon makes, bar none. Metal construction, dust and moisture seals, ultrasonic ring motor (USM) focus system.

The lens is clean, tack sharp, in perfect condition, in factory packaging. Includes lens bag and hood (a few very minor usage marks on the plastic hood).

I can ship it *anywhere*, or even hand-deliver it at the Cambridge meet in September.
I'm open to reasonable offers, in the ballpark of US$900, UK475, or EU740. A huge loss to me, and a good bargain for the new owner.

eBay eventually, but for now I'd rather sell to somebody I know or can meet.

Not that Mark needs any character references, but I bought Mark's last DSLR and it was a great deal, and a flawless transaction. (where else can you get a D60 and a empeg dock together?)

With the updated pricing, this is tempting. Not a lens I need, nor an expense I need at this point, so I think I'm going to have to pass.

I'd buy Mark's but I already have one. It's a great lens & can vouch - this is a pretty good deal.
