I was a very proud owner of a RioCar - it was in my Truck when I lived in Hawaii from 1999-2002

However I stopped putting it into my car a few cars ago...and it just sat there in a box of wires.
Finally decided it was time to see what I was listening to back in the late 90s.

And the hard drive had died. Disappointing but not the end of the world. Players seems to boot fine (and responds with "no hard drive"). Pulled out the drive to test it and it is indeed kaput.

In any case - I don't want to sell it but I want it to be an organ donor...to enable other empegs to live.

It's currently located in Venice Beach, CA and I'm happy to ship it as is to whomever the admins decide is worthy. I just ask for the shipping to be covered.

I think most people who are still here have one or more empegs/RioCars already. So if you're happy to ship it to NZ for toolman, I'd say go ahead.
