Re: I have not words - 08/01/2003 03:45

Why not go even further and start selling pics of her?

In Holland there is actually a site where dumpees can get back at their girlfriends by posting pics of them online. Preferably nude pics of course...

The webmaster of the site claims he needs this site to cover the outrageous alimony he is forced to pay since his GF/wife dumped him.
Everybody's got to make a living I guess...

The auction has been removed.

I see that... unfortunately it was removed before I ever got to look at it. Or perhaps fortunately?

What was the auction about?

I've looked at this and I'm worried by it: does everybody in Holland keep a picture of their girlfriend in lingerie or less, in case they get dumped - or is it for other reasons? I only ask, before I take Mrs.Boxer down to Ann Summers/sex shop to get her kitted out. Mind you after 25 years I think I'm fairly safe.

I couldn't get any further without subscribing, but is there a section for girls to take revenge? All those guys in Yfronts, boxer shorts or less would be a bit discouraging.

Boxer shorts: No I don't!

Okay, well instead of a note from mom, how about actually buying mom? (And dad, and two kids.)

How long until EBay starts having to review all auctions prior to posting them?

Re: I have not words - 10/01/2003 11:59

Once they do that, the price goes up, the delays go up, and the site becomes useless.

I don't think ebay should review or restrict auctions in any way. My recommendation is, if an auction offends somebody, then they shouldn't bid on it.

If someone wants to sell 55-gallon drums of heroin or cocaine on ebay -- let them try it. There are plenty of people who will turn the would-be seller into the police before the auction closes (damn nosy do-gooders! ) and only if there is so much public outcry that it impacts ebay's profits should ebay be concerned about the contents of auctions.

So you think you should be able to sell human body parts/tissue organs on ebay as well then?

If you think that it should be ok, then how come, its not allowed under ebay's auction rules and also US law?

If you don't think selling body parts is ok, then where exactly do you draw the line?

If he's saying he thinks it should be ok, ebay's rules aren't really relevant, as he's suggesting the rules are the problem.

You have a point, and I have another example: stolen goods. If your empeg was stolen, would you object if someone sold it on ebay? How about if they sold from somewhere that you were unable to bring the brunt of the law down on them from?
