How can I backup my cookies?

I'm upgrading (XP to XP) want to take my cookies with me. I've tried in the past to copy the cookies folder without success - I could copy the folder over to the right place but IE on the destination machine never recognised them.

I suspect this is deliberately non-obvious because, after all, one could copy someone else's cookies and impersonate them on a website (or worse).

Does anyone know how I can do this?

I assume you mean in IE ?

"File->Import/Export->Export cookies->Export to a file"

Doh, that was embarrassingly easy - thanks! I don't want to ask how long IE has had that feature!
