..."Seriously, I haven't had a boy in a really long time, and I'm really craving ... just a kiss, man. Just a kiss would be nice." ...

Well uh...I'm happily married so uh one of you guys are going to have to take up my slack.

I don't know... She kinda looks like Marilyn Manson in the photo on that page.

Blasphemer! That is almost as bad as insulting the empeg

Re: *gasp* - 08/07/2003 21:58

You're paying her a serious complement there. Uuuugh. She generally looks bad (yes, I really think so), but that picture is scary.

I'm just hoping she'll eventually fade away like Debbie Gibson did back at the end of the 80's. Not having much talent has a way of doing that.

Erm...normally I don't fancy her, but I quite like the photo.

Does that make me weird?

Let's delete the first one of those.... Do it now before someone responds to it. Then don't respond to this and I'll delete this post.

Sigh. He accidentally posted the poll twice. My post was to remind him, as many people seem to forget, that you can delete posts with no trace as long as there has been no response. But now I can't follow through. Thanks.

Eh? It looks like there's just one poll now... That's the desired effect, right?

Like the photo?
Someone's still going to have to convince me that that's not stolen from Madame Tussaud's and set in front of the RCMH.

On the other hand, I thought that she looked pretty good in that first video she had with the schoolgirl uniform, if not in the last several years. She had a shape then. Now she looks like a box that a girl came in.

I couldn't delete my post.... Otherwise, true.

Re: *gasp* - 09/07/2003 08:54

I thought I did delete the first one tho. I have it set to flat mode usually so I may have clicked the wrong one.
For some reason I always have trouble with the BBS. It just hangs when I try to add a new post. Normally it just posts once but occasionally it does two.

Re: *gasp* - 09/07/2003 09:01

You did, but Tony responded to my post that I was going to delete, and now I can't delete it.

This is the most useless tangent ever.

(No problem on your part -- I just wanted to post to make sure you saw it before it was too late. We've all double-posted from time to time.)

sorry man, gotta disagree... with the lyrics of the song... she was setting herself up with the worst reputaion when she added the uniform.. uhg.... even I was turned off.... it was just insulting

And in this picture... what is she thinking? Publicity has done nothing but hurt her reputation... if you can even call it that... she will NEVER learn.... she embarreses serious musicians.

Re: *gasp* - 09/07/2003 10:03

I'm not saying it wasn't insulting. Just that she looked good. I've found, though, that women just don't get the male obsession with schoolgirl uniforms. This is probably because men can't explain it, either.

with schoolgirl uniforms.

that is totally not true.. well for me at least... I have found a great obssesion for women in schoolgirl uniforms... just not her... b/c she claimed something that was not true at all... and we all secretly knew... thats what made it horrible

Re: *gasp* - 09/07/2003 18:50

Um, that's not what he said there. He said the women don't understand why men have an obsession for schoolgirl uniforms. I don't think he was talking about the Spears instance of it at all, just the generic image.

Re: *gasp* - 09/07/2003 19:57

Um, that's not what he said there. He said the women don't understand why men have an obsession for schoolgirl uniforms.

and I disagreed,... I totally understand it... Its because they look so innocent... most of the time the image of the skirt flaring up giving a nice view is all that needs to be explained to understand the obsession... and stop being so sexist... like i said in my last post... I can become obsessed with the uniform (for the same reason as a guy) so stop saying I don't know what I'm talking about....

Re: *gasp* - 09/07/2003 20:11

Oops. Simple misunderstanding on my part. Sorry

*edit*
I should explain: I've been turning display features on and off, and didn't have the sigs on. So basically, I didn't know you were female. Sorry I swear I'm anything but sexist. My girlfriend is too extremely liberal to stay with me if that were the case

Oops. Simple misunderstanding on my part. Sorry

I know... that's why I finished with a smily face too... I'm not mad..:) I'm used to it..be happy... at least you don't look into the mirror and see that image (picture of brit) staring back at you... (I don't either.. and I am glad..lol)

and in respnse to your edit... its totally cool.. I didn't really mean it ... good luck with your girl.. :O)

I think it goes something like this:

Guy grows up in Catholic school. Catholic school girls wear uniforms. Guy learns to associate uniform with sexuality.

or

Guy grows up near Catholic school. Catholic girls wear uniforms. Catholic school girls have a reputation for... uh... you know. Guy links the two.

or

Short skirt, near-sheer white blouse? Hot-diggity-dog!

(Note... not trying to pick on Catholics, here, but it was only the Catholic schools that had uniforms in the school system I went to.)

That would be a great explanation, but I don't think that's it at all. Like I said, I can't even begin to explain it, and those are too obvious to not have occurred to me before. I'm sure some of it helps, but guys (well, I, at least) can get the same reaction from a knee-length uniform skirt. I think the librarian obsession is closely related, too.

Thus proving my point. Zappa proclaims that catholic schoolgirls are anything but innocent to anyone but their parents.

You know, I'm going to examine this so much that it won't be sexy anymore.

Anyway, my point is that we've got two directly opposing viewpoints, showing that at least one of them isn't correct.

I was one of them in my younger days and I resent that remark. I was at the time I'm sure it's true for some or maybe in these days. And I hated wearing my uniform.
