Free Matrix Reloaded (if you buy something)

The Buy.com 48-hour sale (Thurs. & Friday) is automatically giving the Matrix Reloaded DVD for free when you buy something on sale.

This sale is pretty weak compared to other *-hour sales, but I managed to buy something.

It's a presale. I guess they will ship the DVD when it comes out. Shipping was free.

Which Amazon has listed as coming out on October 14, 2003. That is a nice wait, I think I will pass.

What difference does the wait make? You'd have to wait no matter what, so you might as well get it for free when it happens. That is, provided you find something at the store you could actually use or want.

Right. I bought the GMRS radio because the $100 Cobra I bought sucks ass and I heard Midland was a top brand. $50 seemed like a good deal considering it came with a free Matrix DVD and shipping.

Hmm. That's actually what I was looking at getting too.

That is quite a good deal for a two watt GMRS model. Even with my 50% discount, Motorola's two watt model is more expensive than that (but it does other stuff like channel repeating).

I've got this pair which is only one watt but is still pretty slick. It claims a 5 mile range but it seems more like 3 to me.
