870. but the backgrounds were getting out of sync and I was getting bored.

take sharkey to the bottom of the screen and go flat out. you go right past all the divers.

Really funny thing happened when I loaded this page. Pixel was sitting on the desk next to the monitor, which has speakers built into the plinth, and when the sounds started up (that bubbling underwatery sort of noise), she immediately looked straight up at the ceiling with her pupils fully dilated and ears cocked. She stared up for 10 seconds or so, then looked around the room with a sort of puzzled expression, then apparently worked out where the sound was coming from and lost interest.

Same here.

At full speed it plays no role what your heightlevel is, you go past the divers anyway.
The weird thing is that I can go at full speed all the time, strength gets only reduced when I get attacked, but according to the description it should behave like dexterity, limiting my ability to swim at full speed all the time. Exploiting this I get 2170. One could do inf but the game area reduces itsself to zero after a certain amount of time and the game simply blacks out.

3310
it only stopped cause i made more adjustments to the window
ive got two 21 inch monitors
one set at 1600x1200 the other at 1280x1024
make the window very short and lengthen it across both screens. then i position my mouse at the far left up high corner. if you make it too short to start the shark freaks out and does figure 8's
also, if you get the shark far enough ahead it doesnt matter how fast you go. the divers only spawn in the playing field and the shark isnt on the field any longer

edit : changed res from 160x1200 to 1600
edit 2 : it appears to only freak out if you make the window too short too fast. going slowly and keeping the shark on the screen ive managed about a quarter inch by 2 feet wide viewport.

i achieved this score in the time it took me to type the above post
when i made the window bigger to view the score he crapped out and gave me my super high score.
