EAC and LAME causing Win XP to blue screen - 06/12/2003 10:50

And reboot after it does that on its own. Can't get a chance to even view the blue screen. It seems to do this every 4 cds I rip. Any ideas?

Greetings!

Hmmm... If it were EAC or Lame causing it directly, I would expect it to fail on the first disk. Could you have a bad memory module? You might only see that when you start pushing your physical memory a bit, and that triggers the crash. There should also be a setting (for Win2K: right click "My Computer", properties, advanced, startup & recovery) that tells the machine to automatically reboot after a system failure. Turn that off, and you will have a little more (well, a lot more) time to study the blue screen for any useful data.

Okay, I just turned it off. I doubt its a memory issue when I have been able to do alot of intensive memory stuff. Like a few game hogs.. Americas Army is one. Takes up the most of my 512 ram I have.

When it does it again, I will post what it says!

Are you using an external ASPI layer or doing the NT/XP calls? It's an option in EAC.
