I really wish the probe all the best, and I hope it is successful. But I still cannot get
this image out of my head...
That cartoon makes me think about all the missions. I know Beagle 2 was very very careful with regards to contaminating Mars with bacteria, but that was every mission so careful? Did Viking ensure it was sterile? If life is found how could we be sure it wasn't introduced by us decades before?

They take every precaution with the new probes. With the old probes... That is why they dumped Galileo.
